Marjan Helms (b. 1951) is Composer-in-Residence for the Michigan State University Community Music School, where, in addition to composing, she also teaches composition and piano. She has a bachelorís degree in piano from the University of South Alabama, a masterís degree in piano from the University of Memphis, a doctorate in composition from the University of Memphis, and a masterís degree in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame. Her compositions include choral, instrumental, and orchestral works, as well as music for the theatre.
