Michael J. Mills
Michael J. Mills (b. 1985) is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his music education with the piano at age 8 and then continued on to violin, cello, organ, and guitar before finding his home in choir. Mr. Mills studied choral music education at Utah State University, where he also studied composition with Dr. Dean Madsen, and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah. While there, he sang with the University of Utah Singers under the direction of Dr. Brady R. Allred, and had the opportunity to perform throughout Israel and Europe, where the choir was awarded First Prize at the 2009 Marktoberdorf International Chamber Choir Competition. Mr. Mills was the winner of the 2010 American Choral Directors Association Raymond W. Brock Memorial Student Composition Contest.
Mr. Mills and his wife Amanda currently reside in Salt Lake City with their son and daughter.
