Lindsay Goodson
Lindsay Goodson was born in Provo, UT (1981) , and raised in Washington State. While earning a Bachelor’s degree in music composition from Brigham Young University, she became deeply interested in choral music composition through her involvement in choral ensembles including the Women’s Chorus, Concert Choir and Brigham Young University Singers. This interest deepened during a year of post-graduate study of choral conducting at BYU under the tutelage of Dr. Ronald Staheli, and Rosalind Hall. During this time, she also served as the Assistant Conductor to Jean Applonie for the BYU Women’s Chorus. Both the BYU Singers and Women’s Chorus have performed her compositions and arrangements. Since leaving BYU in 2007 she continues to write and has been commissioned on several occasions. She currently resides in Iowa with her husband, Jeremy, and their one-year old son, Evan.
