Set to a spooky, well known text by E.E. Cummings, Australian composer Patrick Baker has written a lively piece for treble choirs with piano. The score calls for actions/movement, props, and sound effects by the choir - including wind noises, chattering mice, croaking toads, and simple body percussion. With plenty of unison lines and simple harmonies, children’s choirs, middle level, and developing high school choirs will love singing this piece. Great for fall concerts or any time of year, this is accessible and fun!

| Kyle Pederson Choral Series
RELEASED: September 2023
voicing: SSA | catalog number: SBMP 1743 | price: $2.80
accompaniment: piano, opt. cello, violin
A lovely new take on a traditional Irish folk song, sung from the viewpoint of someone watching their love go off to war…“may you go safely, my darling.” For three-part treble choirs of all ages, with piano accompaniment, violin, and optional cello. The top line of the text in the score is a phonetic pronunciation for the ease of the singers, while the actual Gaelic text is underneath, making this easily singable. The soprano line includes several opportunities for optional solos or small group singing. A flowing piano accompaniment supports the voices throughout. Moderate ranges for all three voice parts make this arrangement both beautiful and accessible!
