 Scott Farthing

Scott Farthing (b.1969) assumes the position of Director of Choral Activities and Vocal Studies at the University of La Verne (California) in August of 2001. He has both the DMA degree and MM in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and a degree in Piano Performance from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Farthing has recently composed works for the Heartland Men's Chorus, St. Louis Women's Chorale, the National ACDA Junior-High Honor Choir, and the Kansas City Children's Chorus. In addition to conducting and composing, Farthing is a sought after accompanist working with numerous All State, Regional, and National Honor and Festival Choirs.
