 Lisa Milena Simikic

Lisa Milena Simikic (b. 1961) is conductor of the Cathedral Choir at St. Steven’s Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Alhambra, California. She has a B.A. in Music from California State University, Northridge and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in conducting at California State University at Los Angeles. An accomplished vocal soloist with both operatic and symphonic appearances to her credit, she is a respected interpreter of the soprano/mezzo soprano Slavic repertoire of Prokofiev, Cui, Frunza, Dvorak, Grechaninoff, and Rachmaninoff. She is proficient on the violin, tamburitza, piano, mandolin, guitar and bass. Her composing has been for the Orthodox church along with some editing and composing for television and film. Born in Pasadena, CA, Lisa is the sixth of twelve children.
