 Theodore Lucas

(b. 1941) A student of Nadia Boulanger in Paris, France, Theodore Lucas began composing at the age of 14. In addition to Mlle. Boulanger, his composition teachers have been David Ward-Steinman, Gordon Binkerd, and Thomas Fredrickson. New to the art of choral composition, his instrumental works have been performed throughout the USA and Europe, including performances at Fontainebleau Palace in France and Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. Ted is currently a university administrator, helping to establish a new state university in Camarillo, California.
