 Grace Coberly

Grace Coberly is currently completing her undergraduate studies in music and linguistics at Haverford College, where she is a member of the Bi-College Chamber Singers and the Haverford College Mainliners. A composer and choral singer, she has participated in the ILMEA All-State Chorus and received the 2015 Marcie Hartman Mentoring Scholarship from the Heritage Chorale of Oak Park, IL. She is pursuing a career in music education; her experience includes interning at The People’s Music School in Chicago, serving as a composition mentor for the COUNTERCLOCK Arts Collective, and assisting with the youth choirs of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Grace’s compositional work ranges from classical art song to a cappella arrangements of modern pop music. Her most well-known choral work, “Homeland,” premiered in 2016 by the Madrigal Choir of Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park, which has made the piece its calling card and performed it on several tours across the Midwest. More recently, it was performed by the BGSU Collegiate Chorale and by the Ohio Ambassadors of Music in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Germany.
