Blake R. MitchellBlake R. Mitchell (b. 1998) is a composer and arranger known for his versatility and well-rounded musicianship. Blake holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Samford University and an M.M. in Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy from Shenandoah University, where he also pursued additional studies in music composition.
His compositions have received honors including runner-up in the American Choral Directors Association’s 2022 Pearl Prize competition, winner of the University of Notre Dame’s Liturgy Alive: Choral Composition Commission Competition, and the Walter Hussey Composition Competition. Select works are published by Excelcia Music Publishing.
Currently based in Orlando, Florida, Blake maintains an active career as a vocalist, musical theatre performer, voice teacher, music director, and composer-arranger.
