 Donald Kendrick

Donald Kendrick (b.1947) is Director of Choral Activities at California State University, Sacramento, Conductor of the Sacramento Choral Society, Founder/Artistic Director of the Sacramento Children's Chorus and Chorale, and Director of Music at Sacred Heart Church in Sacramento. He studied at the American Conservatory of Music, The New England Conservatory of Music, Stanford University, and he earned a doctoral degree in choral conducting from the Eastman School of Music where he also served on the faculty. He holds a CHM (Choirmaster) Certificate from the American Guild of Organists and he was the first recipient of the Louise Rogers Goucher Memorial Scholarship given by the American Choral Foundation in New York. Dr. Kendrick has taught at Louisiana State University,The University of the Pacific and at universities in Canada where he also directed community children's choirs, oratorio choirs and Cathedral Choirs.
