Randall Johnson
Dr. Randall Johnson (b. 1959) received his Doctorate of Musical Arts in 1992 in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington located in Seattle. Since 1992 he has been on the music faculty of the University of Guam with principal responsibilities in solo and ensemble vocal music. His other responsibilities include ear training and saxophone instruction. He has been able to travel and perform in over 30 countries as a conductor, singer, saxophonist and guitarist. He has written choral pieces for many choirs and one of his UOG choirs, "Native Tongues," has received a contract to record three CDs of original a cappella pop arrangements for King Records of Japan. Beyond numerous music activities on Guam, Randall is a frequent choral clinician and adjudicator in Tokyo: most notably for St. Mary's High School whose groups, directed by Randolph and Rachel Stenson, have premiered many of his compositions.
