Joseph PiontekJoseph Piontek is a composer and pianist currently residing in Kansas. He has works published through Santa Barbara Music Publishing, and has completed commissions for organisations such as the Kansas Music Teachers Association, and for performances including a featured ensemble’s performance at the Kansas Music Educators Association in-service workshop. Mr. Piontek holds a MM degree in piano performance from the University of Colorado, and a BM in Piano Performance from the University of Central Missouri. Highlights of his performing career include prizes in the Colorado MTNA Young Artist Competition (winner) and the Boulder International Chamber Music Competition (semi-finalist), and collaborations with musicians of the Colorado Ballet Orchestra and the Boulder Philharmonic. In addition to his work as a composer, he is the choral accompanist at Free State High School in Lawrence, KS, and the organist for First Baptist Church of Topeka, KS.
